Job Description

LBE, Inc. is looking for a senior level architect with 10+ years of experience in an architecture firm. Candidate must be able to manage a small group of architects/designers to produce designs on multiple projects concurrently. Design work will include new construction and renovation projects across federal, commercial, and industrial business sectors.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree from a NAAB accredited program
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks accurately, effectively, and confidently
Advanced understanding of:
-Design solution development
-Building systems, detailing, and technology
-Applicable codes, life safety requirements, regulations, and standards
-Differing building types and project delivery methods
-Programming and planning methods
Architectural registration; South Carolina preferred
This position requires the candidate to be eligible for a U.S. Security clearance.
Effective verbal and written communication skills

Desired Experience  

Experience working on federal projects with knowledge of the UFC and the UFGS
LEED Credentials
Experience in SpecsIntact
NCARB Certification
Master of Architecture

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and production work including architectural detailing through construction documents – using Revit
  • Perform field verification and travel to sites [May travel (<10%) to customer sites for field inspections.]
  • Developing specifications in SpecsIntact
  • Perform construction administration activities – responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and other related activities
  • Perform technical reviews of team member’s work
  • Performing QA/QC Reviews
  • Establish and implement standards, processes, procedures, and workflows
  • Delegate work and mange design teams’ schedules to meet project deliverables
