LBE provided all the necessary analysis and design services to provide new HVAC systems for the strip room, leach tank areas, and the all purpose punching area. As part of this effort, LBE reviewed the existing exhaust systems serving the leach tank hoods, and provided recommendations for improvement of these systems. An as-built drawing of the existing ductwork system was completed in these areas to figure out how to effectively provide cooling. A construction drawing and specification submittal was provided with detailed information on all new equipment, ductwork, electrical wiring, and structural supports to be installed. The project included mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering design. Construction administration services were provided that included contractor meetings, answering request for information (RFIs) during the bidding and construction phase, and site visits during construction to review contractor’s work.

LBE provided design services for the University of North Carolina Wilmington. The university wished to construct an Administrative Annex building to relocate staff to the edge of campus and create space for new faculty and academic staff. The new annex admin facility is 40,000 sf and is a two-story structure. LBE provided mechanical engineering support/oversight for HVAC and plumbing packages. The new HVAC system consisted of a variable refrigerant flow (VRF) system and was provided with a dedicated outside air unit that also tied into the VRF refrigerant system. A DDC control system was also provided for the building. New plumbing system were designed and installed for the building to include large gang restrooms on each floor. LBE provided mechanical and plumbing design services for this project and was the designer of record for these items. LBE also provided construction phase inspection services and provided project verification for the state engineer’s office.

LBE provided all architecture, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design associated with the upfit of Cinco De Mayo. The project consisted of an upfit of a 4,500 sf of a shell building. The space is a restaurant and consists of a commercial kitchen, seating area, and restrooms. Design submittals included a 100% sealed drawing set for permitting and construction.
