 Job Description

LBE, Inc. is looking for an architect with 3+ years of experience in an architecture firm. Candidate must be able to produce a set of construction documents with minimal assistance. Design work will include new construction and renovation projects across federal, commercial, and industrial business sectors.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree from a NAAB accredited program
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks accurately, effectively, and confidently
Basic understanding of:
  – Design solution development
  – Building systems, detailing, and technology
  – Applicable codes, life safety requirements, regulations, and standards
  – Differing building types and project delivery methods
  – Programming and planning methods
Architectural registration; South Carolina preferred
Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
Effective verbal and written communication skills 

Desired Experience

-Experience working on federal projects with knowledge of the UFC and the UFGS 
-LEED Credentials
-Experience in SpecsIntact
-NCARB Certification
-Master of Architecture

Responsibilities Include:

  • Design and production work including architectural detailing through construction documents – using Revit
  • Perform field verification and travel to sites [May travel (<10%) to customer sites for field inspections.]
  • Developing specifications in SpecsIntact
  • Perform construction administration activities – responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and other related activities
  • Perform other assigned duties as deemed necessary by supervisor
  • Performing QA/QC Reviews when assigned
  • Establish and implement standards, processes, procedures, and workflows
