Experience Designing Fire Suppression and Fire Alarm/Mass Notification Systems
PE License
SFPE Certification

AutoCAD
Building Information Modeling (BIM) (Revit)
Proficiency in commonly used software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent writing and communication skills

Job Description

LBE, Inc. is looking to hire a Fire Protection Engineer with 5-15 years of experience in fire protection engineering to join our established team in Moncks Corner, SC. Candidate must have great communication skills and be able to lead design projects.

LBE serves a wide range of federal clients, and the ideal candidate will have federal project experience, and the ability to work well with team members on a wide spectrum of engineering and management consulting services to clients in the U.S. and abroad.

Job Responsibilities

  • Managing the fire protection design services on multi-discipline projects
  • Supervision of all aspects of the design to ensure that it is integrated appropriately with all the other disciplines
  • Assisting in fire protection support services during the construction phase, which will include field visits, answering RFIs, and reviewing shop drawings
  • Preparing record drawings
  • Drawing and calculations review
  • Performing QA/QC Reviews when assigned
  • Performing all aspects of fire protection design (conceptual studies, programming, schematic documents, design development documents, and construction documentation)
  • Overseeing fire protection support services included in the bidding process
  • Creating precise, code-compliant drawings and specifications for schematic, design development, and construction document submittals
