 Job Description

LBE, Inc. is looking for an architectural designer with 6+ years of experience in an architecture firm. Candidate must have experience with architectural design, detailing, producing construction documents, and other relevant documentation. Design work will include new construction and renovation projects across federal, commercial, and industrial business sectors.

Minimum Qualifications

Technical or Professional degree in Architectural or a related field
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks accurately, effectively, and confidently
Basic understanding of:
  – Design solution development
  – Building systems, detailing, and technology
  – Applicable codes, life safety requirements, regulations, and standards
  – Differing building types and project delivery methods
  – Programming and planning methods
Effective verbal and written communication skills 

Desired Experience

-Experience working on federal projects with knowledge of the UFC and the UFGS 
-LEED Credentials
-Experience in SpecsIntact
-Degree from a NAAB accredited program

Responsibilities Include :

  • Design and production work including architectural detailing through construction documents – using Revit
  • Perform field verification and travel to sites [May travel (<10%) to customer sites for field inspections.]
  • Developing specifications in SpecsIntact
  • Perform construction administration activities – responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and other related activities
  • Perform other assigned duties as deemed necessary by supervisor
  • Performing QA/QC Reviews when assigned
  • Establish and implement standards, processes, procedures, and workflows
